20 Years Together

This is a blog all about a girl and her passion for paper, ink, and a bit of lace . Here you will find a bit of everything crafty, from hand created cards and scrapbook layouts to altered treasures.
Here is a layout I did following this weeks 52 sketches 52 weeks. The sketch is really cute. I love the clean line look, but I can only get it when I follow a sketch and try really really really hard not to go overboard. Who, me? Overboard?
The papers are from Sassafras Lass (who else?) and the submarine paper and the green circle is from K&Co's DayDreams collection. I used embroidery floss to stitch around the circle and some Weathered Wood Distress Ink to give some definition to the layering. The flowers are from Prima and the Glazed Brads are Basic Grey. I used some really really awful chipboard letters. I covered them in ink and diamond glaze to get a look that I liked :)
Thanks for looking and have a super sweet day!
I found this little angel on clearance at Michaels. She was $1.34. I really liked the scrolls, but I knew she needed more than a little paint. This is what I started out with.
I used some old Anna Griffin paper that I have had for ages. I don't have much of an occasion to use tapestry inspired floral paper I suppose. The green paper is from K and Co. The ribbon is Making Memories. I used Mod Podge to adhere the paper and, after trimming as close as possible, I sanded it down with my trusty nail file. I used Peeled Paint Distress Ink on all of the edges and sealed it.
It was a quick little project and I was really happy with the result. Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day.
